treo650 and me

late clock

Several days ago, my treo650 experience a late clock display. Not just in minutes, but in hours.
I manage to find out that occurrence happened twice. On the first day it happened, i notice 2 hours late. And the next day is 3 hours late.

According to the guy in id-PalmOs mailing list, he suggest to have Enable Local Network Time to be checked on.
I follow his instruction, so the next day, the clock show the exact time of that moment.

strange. since I don't know what causing the problem. since I don't do synchronize, and for that 2 days, my treo650 just fine without reseting or crashed

SIM services

treo650 claimed that it cannot do a mobile banking, such as m-bca. so i use my traditional mobile phone to have a mobile banking transaction.
after successful doing transfer and payment, the m-bca application reply it with success SMS message.

later i put my SIMcard back to treo650. after the phone back on, it display message to retrieve SMS(es) in SIMcard to be imported to handheld. i select 'yes', and the phone restart.
i try it several times, only getting the phone to restart again and again.

so treo650, not only cannot do mobile banking transaction, it has no capability to successfully retrieve any SMS in SIMcard.

un-facer alarm

I install Facer for my default launcher, because it can display today screen nicely, compare to .. let say.. agendus. and in fact it's a launcher which has the capability to organize softwares on the phone and/or memory card.

just recently i found a minus for this today screen, which is, it cannot display untimed events! .. and it failed to display alarm visually. you know the asterisk on the left upper corner to give you notification of alarm events.

sim village and crashed

it's been my several trial to play sim village. because it usually end up crashed while playing [or sometimes it just crash without being played].
the things i hate from this game is it doesn't have the real 'save game' menu! so if it crashed, (and create double application - one in memory card, and one in palm memory -- which later i delete from palm memory), the saved game is gone too.

thankfully, on my latest trial, the sim already grown successfully with bunch of food and skillfull sim. after the crashed, i restore the save game from last night backup.
and voila!, the game recalculate against real time gameplay and i just lost 1 puzzle. then i can continue and re-run the game to achieve the missing puzzle.

new stylus for treo650

i accidently drop my treo650's stylus. end up to damage the rubber tip of the stylus. so I managed to glued it back together, with ro satisfying result, cause the tip fell of hours later.

so in confussing that no way i can play Sim Village using broken stylus, then i replace the stylus with cotton bud! :D :D hheehe..

but i kept lossing the cotton bud while traveling - home - office - my parent's house - home.

so finally i bought a new one at palmPoint at mal ambasador. not the original one, it cost me 60r, which i could bought for 50r++ from someone in the id-PalmOS mailing list.

but it's ok lah..
